NT/W2K/XP's default directory for installing applications is the \Program Files folder (at least for English language version of NT/Windows 2000/XP). To change the default application installation folder:

Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version
Name: ProgramFilesDir
Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ
Value: C:\Program Files default

Please note that some programs ignore this registry setting.

Server -> Force showing hidden files

• Go to the Windows START Menu.
• Select RUN or Command Prompt.
• Type dxdiag and click OK.

Type the following into your address bar in Firefox:

about:config

You will want to right click anywhere in the window, choose New, Boolean, and enter in the following text:

config.trim_on_minimize

You will want the value to be set to True in order for this to work.

ในบางครั้งใช้ windows xp ไปนานๆ แล้วมีปัญหา icon เริ่มแปลกๆ หรือเป็น icon อันอื่นมาแทน icon ของ program ที่ควรจะเป็น วิธีแก้แบบง่ายๆ คือให้ลบไฟล์ icon cache ทิ้งโดยที่อยู่ของไฟล์อยู่ตามนี้

C:/Documents and Settings/***Username***/Local Settings/Application Data/IconCache.db

สร้าง Shortcut เปิด IE full screen
คลิกขวา เลือก New -> Shortcut
